Hamadan province (which is one of the largest provinces in Iran) has a high capacity of mineral industries. According to the recent industrial development of this province, the increasing demand to attract skilled labor in the mining industry is felt more than before. Therefore, the Department of Mining Engineering was established in 2008 and currently, this department accepts students in both undergraduate and graduate levels.
The purpose of this department is to train skilled experts in various fields of mining engineering and mining industries. Graduates can work in mining exploration, mining operations, mineral processing plants, and other mining-related industries.
