Introduction
The biomedical engineering major was established with the goal of educating specialists who are able to utilize engineering skills in the analysis of biological and medical problems in order to design devices and develop technology that can aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment processes.
The biomedical engineering group at Hamedan University of Technology started accepting undergraduate students specializing in the Bioelectronics emphasis in Fall 2010 based on the strategic policies set forth by the ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran elaborated in the twenty-year Outlook Program in accordance with the goal of developing and expanding fields of study required for our country's advancement. Presently, this group employs six full-time faculty members involved in training students as well as in research activities. Establishment of a graduate program of study leading to the Master of Science in bioelectronics is among the short-term goals of the department.
